Resurrection Sunday
We celebrate the triumph of Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead. On this day, Christians commemorate the fulfillment of God's promise of eternal life through Jesus’ victory over sin and death. As described in the Gospels, Jesus rose on the third day after His crucifixion, demonstrating His power over death and offering hope of salvation to all who believe in Him. Resurrection Sunday is a joyful celebration of new life in Christ.

Good Friday
Good Friday marks the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. It is a time for reflection on His sacrifice for our sins and the immense love shown through His suffering. Observed on the Friday before Resurrection Sunday.

Passover Thursday
We reenact the Passover meal as a meaningful demonstration of the Lord's Supper. This tradition allows us to step back in time and reflect on what Jesus shared with His disciples. During the reenactment, we observe the foods that were part of the original meal, such as unleavened bread, lamb, bitter herbs, and fruit paste. We explain the significance of each item, highlighting how Jesus transformed the meaning of the meal, pointing to His sacrifice for us. This special service helps us deepen our understanding of the Lord's Supper and its connection to both the Passover and the new covenant Jesus established.

Palm Sunday
Palm Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Seward marks the beginning of Holy Week, commemorating Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Join us as we celebrate this meaningful day with scripture readings, music, and the waving of palm branches, symbolizing the joy and praise of Jesus' arrival. It’s a time for reflection and worship as we prepare for the journey to resurrection Sunday.
